GEOENERGY

The solar energy stored in bedrock, soil, and groundwater is known as geo-energy. It is a 100% renewable energy source that lowers operating costs, increases property value, and reduces climate impact.

Utilizing geo-energy can be done in various ways—through geothermal heat, free cooling, energy storage, or ground systems. A major advantage is that the energy itself is free and thus not subject to fuel market fluctuations. This makes the cost predictable and the entire investment future-proof.

Team Wessman is a subsidiary within the Ecoclime Group, delivering comprehensive services in Geo-energy.
Geoenergy is a 100% renewable and sustainable energy source, capable of producing both heating and cooling. Energy is extracted without combustion, resulting in zero greenhouse gas emissions.
Heat is drawn from the ground and used as a source for a heat pump. Solar radiation, and to some extent the earth’s internal heat, continuously recharge the ground with energy. In larger geo-energy systems, energy wells (borehole storages) can be used to extract more energy per unit area.
A brilliant advantage of ground-source systems is that the same setup can also provide cooling. The borehole that supplies heat during winter can deliver cooling in summer—this makes the system even more efficient by returning surplus heat to the borehole. Free cooling (sometimes called natural cooling) is significantly more cost‑efficient in operation than conventional air conditioning.
Geo‑energy is Sweden’s third-largest renewable energy source. The technology is well-established. Our team has over 20 years of experience across the full geo‑energy implementation process. Contact us early in your project to ensure a successful outcome.
By producing heating and cooling yourself via geo‑energy, you reduce costs and improve operating margins. At the same time, you increase your property’s value. Since geo‑energy costs are not tied to fuel price volatility, expenses remain predictable—leading to a future-proof property.
In a geoenergy system, free renewable energy is extracted from the ground. Normally, the proportion of renewable energy is at least 2/3. If you also operate the heat pump with, for example, solar electricity, the property becomes self-sufficient in thermal energy and 100% sustainable.
With more than 20 years of experience, we know what is crucial for a successful geoenergy project. From sizing to operation and service. Our proven process and technology guarantee you as a customer a system that achieves set goals. Once in operation, function and energy performance can be monitored and reported in real time.
